Attendance Rules
All Tickets are non-refundable, and the festival does not offer cancellations, rain checks, or exchanges. This event is Rain or shine!
Service dogs are allowed to attend the Topeka Renaissance Festival – Dogs as pets are allowed to attend with up-to-date vaccines. Please check into will call so your pet can be “banded”. No other type of animals allowed. Owners of animals & birds accept all responsibility of their animals & birds. Anyone not cleaning up after their animals will be asked to leave. We will have “watering & poop bag” areas provided by PetSmart.
If any guest is found to be walking around selling items – they will be asked to leave.
All types of weapons are allowed, all metal weapons must be piece tied but cannot be drawn or used in a hurtful manner – Not following this rule, you will not be allowed to attend or will be asked to leave.
No outside food or drinks (including alcoholic beverages) are to be brought into the festival.
Respectful behavior is required at all times, if you feel sick, do not attend, we reserve the right to ask you to leave the festival if your behavior is inappropriate. The safety of all our guest is important!
By attending, you assume all risk! Topeka Renaissance Festival / The Woodshed Event Center assumes no responsibility for lost or damaged property or personal injury resulting from your attendance at this event.

Our Commitment
The Topeka Renaissance Festival is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all patrons, performers, vendors, volunteers, staff, and participants. Everyone deserves to enjoy the festival free from harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or unwanted behavior.
By attending the festival, all patrons agree to comply with this policy.
Prohibited Conduct
Harassment of any kind is not tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Unwanted sexual comments, jokes, or advances.
- Unwanted physical contact, including touching, grabbing, hugging, or kissing.
- Following, stalking, or repeatedly approaching someone after they have indicated they are not interested in interacting.
- Comments or behavior that targets a person’s sex, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, or other protected characteristic.
- Displaying or distributing offensive, obscene, or sexually explicit materials outside the context of approved performances.
- Intimidation, threats, bullying, or abusive language directed at another person.
- Deliberate interference with another guest’s ability to safely enjoy the event.
- Photography or video recording intended to harass, embarrass, or invade another person’s privacy.
Consent Matters Many festival activities involve interactive performances and roleplaying. These interactions should always respect personal boundaries.
Patrons must:
- Obtain clear consent before initiating physical contact.
- Respect “no” immediately and without argument.
- Understand that costumes, character portrayals, or participation in themed entertainment are never an invitation for unwanted attention or physical contact.
Retaliation
Retaliation against anyone who reports harassment or participates in an investigation is prohibited. Anyone engaging in retaliation may be removed from the festival and barred from future events.
Our Shared Responsibility
The Topeka Renaissance Festival is a community celebration built on respect, courtesy, and hospitality. We ask every patron to help create an environment where all guests feel welcome, safe, and able to enjoy the festival.
The Topeka Renaissance Festival/ Gemini Vibes Kansas LLC & The woodshed event Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, age, religion or religious creed, disability or handicap, sex or gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.
Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness harassment or inappropriate behavior at our Festival..
- Notify the nearest festival staff member, volunteer, security officer, or south side ticket gate as soon as possible.
- If there is an immediate threat to anyone’s safety, contact law enforcement or emergency services immediately.
Reports will be taken seriously and handled as promptly and respectfully as possible.
Hold Harmless Agreement

I, being either the owner, authorized agent, or responsible party who is attending the Topeka Renaissance Festival & The Woodshed Event Center shall indemnify, hold free & and harmless, assume liability for and defend the Topeka Renaissance Festival, Gemini Vibes Kansas, LLC / Angela Kearney, their affiliates, agents, servants, employees, volunteers, officers, and directors from any and all costs and expenses including but not limited to: attorney’s fees, reasonable investigative and discovery costs, court costs and all other sums which the Topeka Renaissance Festival, Gemini Vibes Kansas, LLC / Angela Kearney, their affiliates, agents, servants, employees, officers and directors may pay or become obligated to pay on account of any, all and every demand for claim or assertion of liability, or any claim or action founded thereon, arising or alleged to have out of participation / attendance or selling of wares, during the Topeka Renaissance Festival, Gemini Vibes Kansas, LLC / Angela Kearney, their affiliates, agents, servants, employees, officers and directors or by any act of omission by the, Topeka Renaissance Festival, Gemini Vibes Kansas, LLC / Angela Kearney their affiliates, agents, servants, employees, officers and directors.
Over Night Camping Rules – Camping does not include tickets to the festival, those must be purchased separately.
Camping Requirements – check in for Camping is at the South Side Ticket Booth
Camping is by pre-registration only and limited to approved participants.
Period-appropriate tents are required unless otherwise approved by event staff within the festival area.
Regular tents are allowed in “family camping” area.
Modern items (coolers, plastic bins, air mattresses, etc.) must be concealed from public view during event hours.
Tents must be set up in designated areas only.
Price of camping is per tent, you will be given a “band” at check-in so we know camping has been paid for!
NO ONE under 21 years of age is allowed to camp in entertainment areas. Under 21 is allowed in Family camping areas
Tents not period related will have space in the “family camping” Area!
VIP camping will be done behind the VIP Tent w/ access to the inside of the VIP all night (excluding for sleeping)
Fire & Safety
Fires are not allowed except in our designated fire pit.
Firewood must be approved, no cutting down of trees or use of treated wood.
Firearms, fireworks, and explosives are strictly prohibited.
Alcohol & Conduct
Alcohol consumption is permitted only for adults 21+ – No Outside Alcohol allowed
No glass containers.
Excessive intoxication, disorderly conduct, or aggressive behavior will result in removal from the event.
Respect quiet hours as posted to allow rest for all campers. Quiet hrs. are from 10 pm – 6 am overnight.
Respect & Community
Respect fellow campers, staff, performers, and guests at all times.
Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
The festival hold the right to ask any camper to leave based on their behaviour.
Cleanliness & Leave No Trace
Campsites must be kept clean and orderly.
Dispose of trash in designated receptacles.
Campers are responsible for leaving their area as they found it.
Security & Compliance
Event security will be present overnight.
Failure to follow rules may result in expulsion without refund.
By camping overnight, participants agree to follow all festival rules and staff instructions.
